Harriet Tubman Storytelling at the JREC

  • Jefferson Area Board for Aging (JABA) 674 Hillsdale Drive, Suite 9 Charlottesville, VA, 22901 (map)

Harriet Tubman Storytelling: Charmaine Crowell-White possesses an extraordinary ability to "open windows" into the past, transporting her engaged audiences to the often-overlooked lives of remarkable African American women. Through her powerful portrayals, she sheds light on their ambitions, struggles, heroism, and resilience in the face of racism and violence.

These events at our Respite & Enrichment Center (REC) on Hillsdale Drive in Charlottesville are open to the public, but we ask that you please RSVP 48 hours in advance to JREC Program Manager, Kelsie Short, at kshort@jabacares.org or 434-817-5235.
