JABA GivingTuesday 2024 - Live Blog!
On Tuesday, December 3, 2024 the world took a break from consumption and focused on compassion, supporting causes and non-profits that help make the world a better place. This year, JABA asked for your help in providing much-needed support for older adults, caregivers, and people with disabilities in our area. And you responded!
As we continue to celebrate our 50th anniversary, we’re asking for stories and comments about what JABA means to you to include in our communications. Tell us what you think!

“To me, JABA means not having to walk through the later years alone. It’s provided a peace of mind knowing they are here to help. I didn’t know about JABA when my dad was facing Alzheimer’s, but now I tell everyone I can about them.”

“We really appreciate the help navigating the retirement maze. Our JABA advisor, Don Hanberry, was a terrific sherpa! Thanks.”
9:58 am - What a wonderful response! Thank you.
“To me, JABA means community. It's a place for people to experience community and be empowered to remain in their community of choice. The people who work at JABA also form a community of coworkers. Even though I work at JABA, I have personally been helped by JABA to save money on medical costs, feel connected, and get access to accessibility devices.”
8:30 am - Good morning! And happy Giving Tuesday! We have our first response to the question, what does JABA mean to you?
“I have worked at JABA for almost 6 and a half years now and I feel it has improved my quality of life just helping others, as I try to improve their quality of life!!.....I Love being here every day!!”
